| Résumé : | This MASTER thesis investigates the aural architectural design approach that is related with urban space and the living environment within the City of Glasgow. The following work aims to study the spatial characteristics through audible phenomena, based on sensory stimuli and perception, as well as the social and behavioral research of space. It is this thesis’ aim to investigate, praise and understand the spatial connections of architecture with the users and the aural world and suggest architectural tools that are culturally and spatially relevant to the urban fabric. This will be achieved by investigating how spaces can be composed through acoustic investigations, spatial forms, perception and use. In order to explore how the human factor and its actions alter the aural environment and what responses can be achieved in order to protect this interaction.(NdA) |
